How often should I re-audit?
Weekly is the default cadence on paid plans, and it's the right rhythm for most sites. AI answers shift constantly, but your own content changes slowly — auditing daily mostly produces noise.
Re-audit immediately after you ship a batch of fixes, so you can attribute the change.
Related FAQs
I fixed everything you recommended. Now what?
Re-audit to confirm the fixes registered, then shift from fixing to monitoring. AEO isn't a project you finish — your competitors keep publishing.
Can I export the data?
PDF and CSV on all paid plans. Agency and Scale also get shareable report links, which are easier than emailing PDFs to a client. Free has no exports.
How do white-label reports work?
On Agency and Scale, the Export Report dialog lets you replace LazyCats branding with your company name and website URL.
What is the Refresh Tracker and why is mine empty?
The Quarterly Content Refresh Tracker identifies which of your pages AI engines cite most, then tells you when each is going stale.
What is llms.txt and do I actually need one?
llms.txt is a plain text file at your site's root that tells AI crawlers which pages matter and how to read them. Adoption is early, but it costs an hour.
How does competitor tracking work?
You name the competitors; LazyCats tracks how often each is cited alongside or instead of you across the same set of queries.
What are custom queries, and how should I choose them?
Custom queries are the specific questions you want to be found for, run against all four engines to track whether you surface.
What's in Advanced Reporting that the standard report doesn't have?
Advanced Reporting is the Scale-only panel on the AI Visibility tab: gauge score with period delta, per-source sentiment, trends and competitor comparison.
What is sentiment analysis and how accurate is it?
Sentiment analysis reads the tone of how each citing source discusses your brand and classifies it as positive, neutral or negative.
My score dropped and I didn't change anything. Why?
Almost always because the AI engines changed, not because you did. These systems are non-deterministic — watch the 30-day trend, not two consecutive runs.
