Crawl Status

A healthy crawl status confirms that technical barriers — like blocked pages, server errors, or broken links — aren't preventing crawlers from reading a site's content in the first place.

The failures worth watching for are the intermittent ones. A site that times out under load, or serves errors to some crawlers but not others, will pass a single check and fail the one that mattered. A status captured once is a snapshot; what tells you the real story is the same check returning the same result over several runs.

Crawl status is the first thing worth checking — if crawlers can't access your site at all, no other AEO work can be evaluated accurately.

A "Crawl: OK" status confirms the analyzed site was fully accessible, meaning any visibility gaps found are about content and structure, not basic technical access.
